Maximum Recording Duration

Maximum Duration of Time For Audio Recording

Most sessions will comfortably fit within NovoNote's recording limits, but it's helpful to know what happens if a session runs long. This guide explains the maximum recording duration and provides tips for managing longer sessions.

How Long Can I Record For?

  • To keep performance smooth and ensure recordings process quickly, there is a maximum limit for each audio recording.
  • The maximum duration for a single audio recording session is 150 minutes (400 MB).

What Happens If the Maximum Duration Is Reached?

  • Automatic Stop: If a session exceeds the maximum duration, the recording will automatically stop.
  • Next Steps: You'll be prompted to assign the session to a client.
  • File Processing: The session will be processed, and the transcript and notes generated as usual. You can review these anytime, under the client profile.

Tips for Managing Longer Sessions

1. Plan Your Recording Time

  • Keep track of the session duration to avoid unexpected cutoffs.
  • Consider breaking long sessions into multiple recordings for better organisation.

2. Use Pausing & Resuming Features

  • If needed, use the Pause button to take breaks instead of exceeding the limit. Resuming keeps everything in the same session until the limit is reached.
