Recording a Session on NovoNote

Welcome to NovoNote!


Recording sessions is the primary way clinicians use NovoNote. With a few clicks, NovoNote's intuitive interface helps you securely capture and manage audio sessions and generate clinical notes, allowing you to focus on what matters most: providing quality care. 


This guide will walk you through how to record a session.



Recording a Session in NovoNote 

1. Start a New Session


  • Select "Record Session" on the main page to begin. 



2. Check Microphone Settings, Session Duration and the Selected Note Template


  • Select your preferred microphone and test its input level.
  • Ensure the green bars light up and display "Microphone test successful".
  • Optional: Set an automatic stop time for the session. 



3. Begin Recording

  • Press the "Start Recording" button to begin capturing audio.
     


Tip: For best results, speak clearly and ensure minimal background noise. 




4. Pause or Stop Recording

  • Click "Pause session" to take a break or "End Session" when the session is complete.


5. Assign the Session to the Designated Client 

  • Search for an existing client or create a new client profile to assign the session. Transcripts and notes will be generated accordingly. 





Troubleshooting Tips

  • Can’t access microphone? 
    Ensure microphone permissions are enabled in your device settings. Here's how. 
    
    
  • Audio not uploading? 
    Check that your file is in a supported format and under the maximum file size limit.
    
  • Notes/transcript not generated? 
    Refresh the page and try again, or check your internet connection.
